Crane has to spend several dozens of seconds underwater to reach the hive.

The mission requires you to clear one of the monster hives (Volatile Hive). It's located to the south of Atilla's Mansion. If you haven't visited any a place like that in the past, you should know that you SHOUDLN"T get inside the hive during the day. You will stumble upon zombies in the first few rooms, but the further ones are filled with hunters. Even if you manage to kill some of them, another group will quickly take their place in the cave. Depending on the time of the day you can either get back to the nearest unlocked safe zone (a mansion, most probably) and speed up the passage of time, or wait for the nighttime near the entrance to the cave. Try to depart at about 8:00 PM, as it will take you some time to infiltrate the hive.

The hive is well hidden and you will have to swim through underwater tunnels to reach it. Reach the red icon on the map, which marks the presence of the hive. Jump into the water, dive and go through the underwater tunnels (stay in the area marked in yellow on the mini-map).

Don't worry about the fact that you can't resurface anywhere, as Crane should have sufficient air supply to reach the destination. The hive can be found in an immense underwater cave and the place in which you resurface can be seen on the above screenshot.

There will be monsters inside of the cave during the nighttime (fortunately, there will be no hunters). Don't try to kill them all, as you have to finish your objective before sunrise. ill the infected running around and some of the Toads and use your most powerful equipment to eliminate them as quickly as possible.

The monsters you are looking for can be found in the reddish rooms, filled with blood and human guts. Those foes are defenseless, but they can take a few hits before they go down. You can kill them with either you melee weapons, or with range ones (with a crossbow, for instance) - the latter is the better one if you want to avoid fighting with other infected. The mission will be completed as soon as you kill all four of the monsters - if that happens, just leave the cave via the same route you came in.
