Thanks to the messages you will always know when you gain new level

Experience level of your character is the key element of the game. It reflects character's statistics and with how powerful enemies you will be able to deal. Below you will find few advices that will allow you to gain experience faster:

  • The number of pawns is important - for each pawn less in the party you receive 25% more experience,
  • If you feel strong enough, keep low level pawns in your party - when your allies have lower level than yours (the bigger the difference, the better), you receive more experience and you have greater chance for unique drop.
  • Game mode - what mode you're playing has great importance. In Hard Mode you receive experience twice faster (of course the difficulty is increased as well).
  • Check which enemies are easier for you - this advice doesn't mean whether you prefer for example fighting undead or goblins but whether you prefer fighting simple opponents or bosses. Much depends on character class and individual game mode, but check this if you want to quickly gain few experience levels.
  • Quests from the notice board - start all available missions (except for special quests and escort ones) during which you must deliver some items or defeat a specific number of opponents. You will complete these quests while traveling through the world and completing quests and an additional bonus can be received even accidentally - while doing other things you can complete notice boards missions and receive not only experience but sometimes valuable items and gold as well.
  • In some cases night is a good time to "grind" experience. You will face stronger enemies then, but for example fighting zombies is very easy, you don't need to search far for them and you have greater chance for interesting drop. Especially characters like Assassin have additional passive abilities that greatly improve character's parameters but only during night.

  • It's not a bad idea - especially early in the game - to find fighting places on cliffs and places with ballista. Enemies thrown down from height (even bosses!) will die and you will receive similar number of experience as during regular battle. One of such places is for example the road that leads to The Gratewall in the northwestern part of the map. Two Ogres whom you can defeat using ballista can be found north from the western edge of the map - in Bloodwater Beach.

Weal - is a status that will greatly improve your attempts at obtaining experience in battle. Activation of the effect is signalized by a small clover near the health bar.
