You wake in strange place, almost naked and unarmed. Xana will tell you amusing things. . . Arantir killed you and then resurrect you using the power of The Skull of Shadows. You’re Demon in half. Look around, probably it’s a an Ork`s camp. Jump to the water and swim. On the bottom of the river you will find a Secret Area. But you can’t take nothing, unluckily. You must regain your equipment. Go up through the corridor and kill two Orks (use your Demon’s power). Go on and kill another Ork. Go straight ahead, you will hear Ork`s talk. They will say that Arantir is dead. Is it true? Go through the corridor, where are spiders (and kill them of course). You will see a gangway, go through it.

What an awful place! |

Demon? What’s going on? |

The Ork`s sentry |

Oooops... That hurts... |

Ork`s store |

Destroy the boards. |

Second entree of store |

This box is closed. |

On the right side is a box, but it is closed, so go on through the gangway. Jump down. Take from table Health Potion and Mana Potion. Open the wooden box and there is your equipment! Take everything, open the second door and leave the store. Come back to the place, where you have woke up and jump to the water. Find again Secret Area and take Lightning Shield, Stone Skin Potion, Scroll of lightning bolt and Health Potion. Come back to the store. The door will be closed. Use Rope Bow and go ahead. You will hear Ork`s voices. Set up Fire Traps and kill them. Go on– there is a flat are and forge. Take Health Potion and Soulreaver Staff. Using Flamegold emboss Earthfire Sword in the forge. Leave forge and go on. You will see an entree to the tunnel.

Go to the store. |

Your equipment! |

Secret Area |

Lightning Shield |

You will hear Ork`s voices... |

Look around and take items. |

Soulreaver Staff |

Forge |

Suddenly you will see ... Cyclop! Stand in the shadow and use Elven Bow. Your target is a Cyclop`s eye – his weak point. Kill him and look around. There is no way? Use Rope Bow. Go through the stone shelf.

The way to freedom! |

What is that? |

Cyclop! |

Use Elven Bow to kill him. |

Now is time to leave this place... |

Use Rope Bow. |

And there is a path! |

There is only one way. |

 | I'm playing the PC version, and yes .. I did it the same way you did... by turning the wheel to open up the large gate (after taking out the Cyclops). I've done a few other things differently also, think there are just more than one way to do things~ but, never played the XBox360, so can't say the game is entirely the same.
dh | dhughes_ 19/02/2009 16:10 | | Where it is said to use the Rope Bow to climb up to the path where you can leave the area, I found out that you can open the gated doorway at the ground floor by turning the wheel attached to the wall to the right of the gate, not far from the gate itself, and go this way to find a shaft that you can use the Rope Bow to climb up. At the top of this shaft are some potions. follow the path beyond that and you'll come across an area filled with about 8-10 (I think) big spiders which, with the weapons and items I have, I was able to take out and get only flesh wounded. I never even got poisoned by them. I used the 'Blade of the Life Weaver' (so far my favorite type of daggers) and evaded their pouncing as best I could. Also, obviously, to better your chances of surviving encounters with these guys, avoid accidentally allowing them to surround and trap you. Even if they only pin you to where your back is to a corner, they can overwhelm you. I was able to go toe-to-toe with maybe 2-3 of these spiders at a time and quickly slaughter them with my favorite daggers of choice. By the way, I'm not sure exactly how different the Xbox360 version is than the PC version, but I'm playin' this on X360, and I've come across some things that are different than in my game than in the PC version, so if this shaft and spiders I speak of aren't in the PC version, then my bad.
By the way, this guide has helped me out with some things quite abit. Nice job on it. | DDude84 03/03/2008 08:25 |
