On this page of the BioShock game guide, you will find the detailed Hephaestus stage walkthrough. At this location, there is at least one major battle with a large group of Splicers. The hero must also solve a puzzle that involves finding the missing components to build a bomb. The finished explosive must then be installed on the core.

03-here's a grenade launcher and a few rounds of ammunition. When you get it, you will need to defeat some Spider Splicers. There is a recording next to the Vita-chamber.

04 - you are trapped in a bizarre gallery of corpses of Ryan's opponents. Search the bodies and you will find 2 recordings.

After a while, Ryan will send a group of Splicers to kill you. Defeat them and take another recording from the room to the South. There is also a tonic: Frozen Field 2. Go further South to get to the core.

05-here is the first little sister with a daddy. At the highest level, there is one recording. Take it and go lower.

At the middle level, there is one recording.

On the lower level there is a recording and a Gatherer's Garden. You can buy several new plasmids there: Electro Bolt 3, Wrench Lurker 2, Cyclone Trap 2. Also nearby there is a power to people station.

And look for the descent to the bottom of the core, there you will find another recording.

06-higher control of heat loss. There's a recording here, as well as a little sister and a daddy. Once you are done with them, go down the stairs to the lower level.

07-Look around. You will find 2 recordings and a tonic - security evasion 2 - here. To get to one of the recordings, you need to hack the power switch to the left of the descent into electrified water.

When you get to the top, you will have to face the third Little Sister.

08-go to the Workshops. Go down the stairs [B]

09 - there are some items to collect. There are two turrets in front of the door to the Kiburz's office. Next to the one on the left, there is a very poorly visible wooden passage in the wall. There's a recording on the other side. The second recording is on a table in a room on the East side of the workshop.

10-the code to the Kyburz's office is 0126. There you will find some interesting equipment, i.a. a power to the people station and a recording.

Recording: "Great Chain Moves Slowly" - Andrew Ryan

11-go through a tunnel hidden behind a wooden door, and you will find yourself in the room where Kyburz installed his bomb. There is a tonic here: Damage Research, as well as a recording. From it, you will learn what details you need to complete the explosive.

You need the following materials:

  1. Nitroglycerin: go back to Kyburz's office and click the button next to his Desk. The container of nitroglycerin is on the wall, and now you can pull it out of the glove compartment.
  2. R-34 windings: you need to search 4 big daddy corpses. One is lying next to the room with the bomb. The remaining three you will probably have to beat again. Remember that once defeated, they are reborn in the same place after a while.
  3. Ion Gel: If you have studied this level carefully, you will surely have noticed the distinctive blue bottles that you could not pick up until now. You need two of these. You will find them at least in the core area.

12-go to the geothermal control and get to the end of the room, to the magma release valve. The best thing you can do is take control of the two turrets that are located here. Start to rotate the valve - several Splicers will break into the room. Don't pay any attention to them and spin until you stop. When you're done, use the Elevator (it's behind you).

Go down the hall. Along the way, you will find shorter alarms 2. Go to the end and start the Elevator. When you get to the top, place the bomb on the core. Now go back to the gate of Ryan's office. Use the switch and they will open.
