The Agony of Choice

Quest giver: Vultus [Marshes - Tooshoo]

Description: In order to progress, you need to speak with High Master Merdarion. It will be possible by siding with Giliana (M7B, 3) or Vultus (M7B, 4). Below, you can read about these two options:

Option 1 - GILIANA - you need to complete following quests:

- The Power of Control - note, that you will be able to complete this quest when you will decide to help Vultus

- The Elements Shrine - this quest is the same for two options, you will have to go to ruins.

After the last quest speak with Zyra (M7A, 9) and choose the "Rain. Cold, dump and dark." dialogue option #1. Now, you will have to defeat her in a quick fight #2. Dodge her attacks and you're your close combat weapon to defeat her.

After the fight get close to the elements shrine #1. Interact with the object and send rain on the Marshes #2. Now, you can start doing next main quest - Beliar's Curse.

- Hat Wanted! Reward! - note, that you will be able to complete this quest when you will decide to help Giliana

- The Elements Shrine - this quest is the same for two options, you will have to go to ruins.

Description: During the conversation with Gilana (M7B, 3) offer to help her with her problems #1. You will be sent to search a collar. You will have to leave Toshoo by choosing a road leading west #2 (M7A, 3).

Beware, because you will have to fight with some lizards #1. These creatures can attack you from a distance - they are splitting with acid. Your aim is to get to two roads leading to caves. Choose the one that will take you to the northern cave #2 (M7A, 4).

Here, you will have to fight with lizards once again #1. It will be very easy to win all battles but remember to attacks only one enemy at once. At the beginning you will have to go north. Ignore the road leading south-east. Go north-west #2.

Few moments later, you will have to turn south. Kill another few groups of lizards - your task is to get to the place where the Runaway Snapper resides #2. Dodge as many attacks as you can. After the fight take the magic collar.

Now go east and jump down to the lowest level #1 to leave these caves - Quests - p. 2 - Marshlands - Arcania: Gothic 4 - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Now go east and jump down to the lowest level #1 to leave these caves. Return to Gilana (M7B, 3) and give her this collar #2. Now you will be asked to use elements shrine to summon rain.

Rewards: The Elements Shrine, Mors Mortis, 1000 EXP, 116 EXP for each lizard, 126 EXP for runaway snapper.
